Does Medicare cover dental and vision?

No, Original Medicare does not provide any coverage for dental or vision. 

 

I hear about Medicare plans that provide this coverage, what kind of plans are they?

Many Medicare Advantage Plans provide some level of dental and vision benefits. Some of them also provide hearing benefits also. Each plan differs in terms of what they cover. Dental and Vision is often a deciding factor in which plan one chooses.

I understand that Medicare Advantage Plans may offer this coverage, but what about Medicare Supplement Policies?

Medicare Supplement Policies do not offer any dental or vision coverage, however, dental and vision plans can be purchased separately.
